Camogie Champions Call To Scoil Nioclais!

Victorious Camogie Captain Amanda O'Regan along with full back Catríona Foley recieved a rousing reception when they visited Scoil Niocláis with the O'Duffy cup last week. The camogie stars met the children and stressed the benifits of playing sport and emphasised the fun part of participation in sports.Picture: Amanda O' Regan, John O' Sullivan and Catríona Foley.

Sciath na Scol

Both boy’s and girl’s football teams have returned to action in the past few weeks in Sciath na Scol action. The boys have recorded three fine victories in their first three matches, playing a lovely style of football, under the watchful eyes of the management team Mr Moynihan and Mr O Donovan. The girls have won one game and lost one and are doing really well under the guidance of Ms Creedon and Ms Ruane. Well done to all involved and keep up the good work. Scoil Niocláis Abú !!!

Cork School Sports

The delayed Cork School Sports will take place in Pairc Uí Chaoimh on Wednesday 30th. The boys will run first in the morning with the girls having their turn in the afternoon. Hopes are high for another successful day and a three in a row for Scoil Niocláis with both teams having won their divisions for the last two years. A special word of good luck to Eli Kadi Harrington as he bids to win an unbelieveable 6 county titles in a row.

Sports For All Day

Our sports for all day was held in glorious sunshine last Wednesday. We had a fantastic day of non competetive sporting fun. We were skipping, hopping, jumping, twisting and turning - and that was just the teachers!! The day was rounded off when we tucked into ice cream which was donated by the school council. We are looking forward to next years event already!

Cork School Sports

Good luck to our girls and boys athletics teams, as they look to defend their division titles in the Cork School Sports this Wednesday in Pairc Uí Chaoimh.
Scoil Niocláis has had huge success in the School Sports over the past few years and we hope to maintain that level of success. Well done to all the participants and a huge thank you to their coaches, Miss Lane, Miss Horgan and Ben Flahive for all their hard work and training.
A special word of good luck to Eli Kadi who is aiming for his 6th county title in a row!!

Crunch Time in Sciath na Scol Campagin

Well done to both our hurling and camogie teams who have represented Scoil Nioclais so proudly so far. Both teams have won four out of their five games played and the success of both teams depends on their final group games. A highly fancied Gaelscoil an Ghort Alainn team will travel to Douglas, with a place in the Sciath na Scol county final, the prize on offer for the winners. A huge thank you to all our supporters who have given the team a huge lift at all the games so far, we urge everyone to turn out again next Thursday at Douglas GAA, when our boys and girls take to the field in these vital matches.
