Allianz Sciath na Scol Champions!!!

Report by: Aislinn O Flaherty.
Yesterday was a very exiting day. We were going to support our school in a hurling match against Carrigaline in Independent Park .In the first half Carrigaline  scored 1.00 and our school was 4.04 but in the second half Carrigaline were catching up on us and we were worried that they would score more points and pass us out .We had great supporters, everyone was shouting for Scoil Nioclais and cheering for Scoil Nioclais until the end, in the end we won 4.07 and Carrigaline were 3.04 . When the final whistle blew the crowd went wild. It was a great game and lots of fun . When we came back to school everyone went down to the yard and welcomed home our champions we danced and played and ran around .We won a plaque and a trophy and a great victory .What a great day! Everyone really enjoyed it and now we can put the trophy on the trophy shelf for all to see.

Allianz Sciath na Scol Final

Excitement is building in Scoil Niocláis ahead of our Sciath na Scol  football final. The boys have done really well to qualify from a tough group and are looking forward to their big match which will be played under lights at Pairc Uí Rinn. The boys have trained really well under the guidance of Deise native - Mr. Flynn. " It's  a fantastic achievement for the school to qualify for the final for the second year running, we still have aspects of our game to work on but the boys are working hard in training and hopefully we can perform well on the night". Mr Flynn went on to say."Nothing will be taken for granted as the boys lost out to our final opponents in the qualifying phase. Gael Scoil Carrigaline are an excellent team and play a clever passing game which we will have to try and breakdown".

The match is fixed for Thursday 15th of November at Pairc Uí Rinn. Throw in time is 7.30pm.
